Abrams Road Closure

     Second bridge installation will bring detours this Friday and Saturday

Dallas – A segment of Abrams Road between Patrick and Trammel Drives will be closed to through traffic from 8 p.m. Friday Oct. 23 until 10 a.m. Saturday Oct. 24.
  
This closure is being done for the installation of the Katy Trail pedestrian bridge over Abrams Road. Through traffic will be routed around the bridge installation site via Mockingbird Lane, Skillman Street and Lovers Lane. Local traffic will still be able to access homes in the area. Once again there will be lights and noise during the overnight hours that is generated by the cranes and other heavy equipment necessary for the installation.
 
“For the second time we appreciate the patience from commuters and those who live in the area,” said Public Works Director Rick Galceran. “The Skillman Street Bridge was completed two weeks ago without a glitch and we’re again planning for a smooth process this weekend with the Abrams Road installation,” Galceran concluded.

This operation may be subject to change due to weather conditions.
